Nadzieje, niepokoje is one of the first recordings made by polish band Exodus. Album recorded in 1977 must have been waiting nearly twenty years to be published. It contains six regular tracks and one bonus live recording.Przemyslaw Bryk
It is a good album, in my opinion. The best are two first tracks - little suites Nadzieje, niepokoje and Oda do nadziei. Then comes the middle of album, which is a little weaker. Pieśń na drogę, Wspinaczka and Powiedz mi Różo are quite good songs, yet not as good as the rest of album. Buta at the end we got growth in form of instrumental track Gonitwa myśli and it's live version.
All in all Nadzieje, niepokoje is a good piece of progressive music. Too bad it wasn't released in 1977, it could be one of those better albums of socialist Europe.
Señores, desde Polonia con amor, otro álbum de Exodus. Este es lo que nos dice Bob sobre el álbum:
Completely unknown outside its borders, this Polish group have deserved a better fate. The fault probably a good career ephemeral, conducted in addition to a time when progressive rock was in serious decline. The choice of Exodus to sing in his native language has not been much help either. But otherwise, difficult to find something to complain so much about - a symphonic progressive rock-tinged neo few keystrokes - turns out to be quality. The symphonic side often think of the heyday of Yes, the high pitched vocals to several tracks on Jon Anderson is not a stranger to this feeling. The game of guitarist also reminds Steve Howe but is more melodic. Other possible influences that may be mentioned Eloy, keyboard sounds for its space and its haunting bass line and a Canadian group Harmonium, acoustic guitar, vocal harmonies.
This CD contains unreleased material from the first big band recording session. This is more than an hour of progressive music, full of acoustic guitars straight from the first album Genesis, a tall, gentle voice of Paweł Birula - Polish Jon Anderson - and the many intricate passages guitars and keyboards. For the first time you hear the legendary songs - „Nadzieje, niepokoje”, „Oda do nadziei”, „Pieśń na drogę”, „Wspinaczka”, „Powiedz mi różo” and „Gonitwa myśli”. The album was a live version of the latter track.
